Supplement Rates
Recently, supplement rates have become very competitive. Especially with the unavailability of Plan F for people who turned 65 after 1/1/2O2O. Plan G is now priced very attractively. Plan N is also another good option. I am not covering the high deductible or other plans here, as plan F, G and N make up the majority of the plans people have.
To review, Plan F covers the Part B deductible of $257. Plan G and N do not. The price of Plan G and N are priced to reflect this. All plans are the same, no matter who the insurance company is. The only difference is the premium. A Plan G from one company is the same as a Plan G from another company. Other items such as the reputation of the company, customer service, underwriting, or any other value-added items, can make a difference as to what company you choose—but the coverage is the same.
If you have had a supplement for more than 3 years, there is a good chance that you may save money for the same coverage. To qualify, you may have to answer health related questions which could vary by company.
If your premiums have become too expensive, you may also consider looking at a Medicare Advantage Plan. You will not have to answer any health questions. This can only be done during an enrollment period. Call me TODAY at 931-287-0799 for a quote or rate comparison.
